Gurugram based entrepreneur Saroj Sharma launches her clothing line – The SS store, an Indian ethnic wear brand for women . ‘ Fashion for the women of today ‘ is the tagline of her brand.
‘Being an entrepreneur was not something I never planned, I was just passionate for clothes, designs and was creative,- says the founder. All I know is I can spend hours clothes designing and like every woman love shopping.
I have designed my own clothes over years and was always complimented by my kids, family, and my friends but I never took brand opening way too serious retrospectively,
The SS store has been invented with the idea to provide the latest and best fashion in the ethnic wear category at the most pocket-friendly rates. I intend to build a brand for the masses rather than making something so expensive that a very minor population gets access to it .
We are currently catering to NCR and a few places in Mumbai and Bangalore while we intend to penetrate deeper into the Indian markets and also expand globally in the coming years.
Ms. Saroj also talks about her reluctance, in the beginning, to start her own label says –‘ I felt it’s too late to startup, but my son has been my inspiration. He always believed in me and kept saying – ‘ Gomumma, do what makes you happy! ‘
